Now I will have to at some point down the road pay to have them fixed right. A sad state of affairs. ”

“ I went to Varinos Dental Associates of Arlington to see what was going on with a tooth I was having a lot of pain in; I have extreme dental anxiety so I put off going to the dentist for a long time. Jacqui, the dental assistant, was super sweet! She took an x-ray of my tooth and stayed and talked to me the whole time; she made me feel so comfortable. I met with Dr. Vora and we went over my x-ray together. She said I needed a root canal and showed me right there on the x-ray where the problem was. I had a hundred questions about the procedure, including how much it would cost and what my insurance would cover. Dr. Vora walked me to meet the office manager, Sharon. She sat down with me and broke everything down; she answered every question I had. By the time I left, I knew exactly what was going to be done and exactly how much it cost. I was so impressed! I was seen two days later to have the root canal and it was the easiest procedure I have ever had done! I have had fillings done at previous offices that hurt, even after the anesthesia wore off; I was pain free! I felt immediate relief! I was so impressed with the whole procedure and the whole staff that I booked a cleaning and in-office whitening! The in-office whitening visit was just as great! I had heard from friends that went to other offices that this type of whitening could burn, so again, I was nervous. Nancy, the receptionist, greeted me right away and Jacqui came right out and took me back to the dental chair. Jacqui explained everything she was going to do before she did it so my anxiety lowered. She even put this green gel on my gums so the bleach wouldn't burn! She painted the bleach on and put a light on my teeth; it was 3 rounds of 20 minutes each round. It was actually kind of relaxing! When I was done, everyone, including myself, saw a definite color change. My teeth were, and still are, finally white! I am having my cleaning next week and I can't wait. Jacqui introduced me to both hygienists, Shannon and Jamie. Both girls seem so sweet. I never thought I would say this, but I love going to the dentist ”

This is a great place for a dentist. I am never left waiting very long for my appointment. Scheduling is rather easy. The hygienists are thorough and gentle, the dentists communicate clearly and work with you to make sure they are meeting your needs. The dentist is very knowledgeable and doesn't talk down to me and explains exactly what is going on and what I can expect. Basically, it is the one practice that my whole family can agree on. I, my son, daughter, wife, ex-wife (& we don't agree on anything), my Dad, heck you name it. They did my dad's implant who is a wonder man, but can be high maintenance and they can handle him. They take many insurances in network and I think they take about everything even if it's out of network. They file it for you with the insurance company and make it easy. I hope this helps, they are conveniently located to get to from anywhere in the city as well. The tooth problem I had turned into a major situation. I ended up having it extracted and opted for a bridge because the extraction left such a big space in my mouth. Every time I went to them I felt like they were trying to scare me into treatments that I didn't "need". They made it seem as if I had really bad teeth that needed some major work. I don't disagree that I hadn't paid enough attention in the past few years. But with Dr. Vora I don't feel like a complete loser. She doesn't oversell treatments, she's pretty thorough as far as I can see and she's very practical. She has a very soothing demeanor, her office and equipment is great and super up to date and importantly she doesn't chat with you while she is drilling your teeth. “ I never liked my teeth. I never got braces and felt that I needed to do this for myself. I'm in my late 40's and Dr. Vora has advised that I get braces for several years. My teeth are not aligned, they don't meet correctly and are crowded . My bottom teeth overlap and I have an overbite. The crowding has caused some unusual wear and potential gum problems. The lack of meeting correctly resulting in a fractured tooth that required a crown. Finally, after years of encouragement and the very expensive crown, I decided to seek invisalign I had the regular impressions and photos taken. Dr. Vora reviewed my case and told me I was an Invisalign candidate. I choose Invisalign because of the cosmetic benefits. ”

“ I love Dr. **** and the staff here! I started going to this clinic over five years ago, when I got my first job that provided dental insurance. I had to have three root canals right away. Before then, I had been terrified of the dentist, but the folks at this dental office were so kind and gentle and understanding that I came to enjoy seeing them. I was so relaxed, I actually dozed off during one of the root canals. I have perpetually bad teeth for reasons beyond my control. Dr. **** always remembered what was going on with me and never berated me for not flossing enough or anything like that. He also remembered that ********* wears off on me very quickly, and was careful to ensure that I got enough to stay numb through procedures. I no longer have insurance they can take, and was having trouble finding another dentist and kept seeing Dr. **** for emergencies. During the last month I had two ********* teeth. For the second one, I had finally found a dentist that took my insurance. But after seeing them and getting antibiotics and painkillers, the tooth got worse. So bad I had to go to the ER in the middle of the night. The next day I called Dr. **** and they got me in immediately. I was in my pajamas, was loopy from lack of sleep and the painkillers the ER gave me, and the ********* wasn't working. Eventually though, they were able to drain the tooth. It turned out, I had been prescribed too little antibiotics, and a muscle relaxer (not a pain killer) by the other dentist. Without insurance, it cost a fortune to get the tooth taken care of, but I have no regrets. The staff and Dr **** have always made me feel comfortable. There are very few medical professionals I can say that about, even in ********** ”
“ I have always been uncomfortable about my smile. I always had situations where I never go dates and my friends told me that my teeth pushed men away from me. I just want not born with great teeth and after all, it is the first thing that someone looks at when meets you. I met Dr. Vora through a recommendation and she told me about veneers. The office offered 0% interest financing for full mouth veneers. Dr. Vora never made me feel uncomfortable - she gave me a thorough exam and calmed my nerves about my required dental work (particularly, a broken crown and a visit to an oral surgeon). The dental assistants are extremely kind and welcoming, and know how to properly give Novocain (another one of my fears). Dr. Vora gave me a full mouth veneers as a replacement to my old misaligned teeth. She did an excellent job - my teeth look and feel natural, and I'm much more confident and proud of my smile. During the five hours of work (in one session), Dr. Vora was incredibly patient and detail-oriented. I could tell she wanted the end result to be perfect as I did, and I'll admit that my teeth are perfect now! The quality of my veneers is amazing. Recently, I had a nasty fall where my teeth hit concrete, and nothing happened to my veneers! ”

Which means when I go, I'm nervous and dread the inevitable lecture concerning the need for more regular check-ups, the importance of flossing and the need to better brush my back teeth. My recent visit to Dr. Vora, however, was great. I was very comfortable and received appropriate reminders, but no lectures. Perhaps more importantly, she did a great job. For example, she found and removed a small piece of glue that had remained on one of my front teeth after my braces were removed, which was more than fifteen years ago. For over fifteen years, that small piece of glue caused undue embarrassment. For some strange reason, bean skin from Taco Bell bean burritos would inevitably get caught on that small piece of glue, sticking to my tooth like a brown sheath. I'm writing this review after being in their office 3 times. I had a bunch of cavities filled and they provided costs in advance so there were no surprises. I barely felt anything too which is always welcomed! Dr. **** spends a lot of time with his patients and you never feel like he is rushing to move onto the next person. Honestly, I've never had this much face time with my dentist - I can't even tell you my last dentist's name! I highly recommend checking out the office. ”

However, after looking up reviews from other dentists in my surrounding area I was super discouraged and decided to make the trek to see her. So happy I did!! I called to make an appointment and the phone was answered very quickly and within a few minutes the receptionist answered all my questions and we had my first appointment booked. The commute ended up not being bad at all. I was there so fast because it's right off a route 2. Parking is super easy. Was greeted right away and felt super comfortable the entire time. The dental hygienist was very mindful of my comfort while taking my x-rays and I truly appreciate that. They definitely take the time to ask personal questions and make you feel comfortable. Good people and good vibes all around. Dr. **** came in and explained what was going on with my teeth and what was necessary and not necessary. It felt like a zero pressure experience and one of the first times I wasn't over treated for unnecessary treatments (my least favorite thing at the dentist office). After I had a good understanding of what was needed, I spoke with the office manager who walked through insurance, CC information and we made a plan for my work. I came back less than a week later and was able to take care of all my cavities in a zero stress environment. I even got to watch one of my favorite movies while getting the work done. The focus was on my oral health. Some doctors are fixated on the problem, but do not think of it or explain it in terms of your overall health. I was educated about my teeth, gums, the surrounding bone, biting surfaces and percentages, and the longevity of different procedures and options. She was very detailed and thorough. Although, the first office I visited had a similar treatment plan in the end, I want to have a dentist that also cares about my well-being and takes the time to make sure I understand what is going on, what needs to be done, and why. “ I just visited this dentist office for a routine checkup and to get a second opinion on treatment plan. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and efficient! I knew I came to the right place when I saw the dentists here are voted the best dentist in Arlington! The hygienist brought me back within minutes and I did not have to sign paperwork using the ZocDoc online account. Since I previously had a treatment plan at another dentist office, she carefully reviewed the new treatment plan with me to ensure I understood what was being done. Dr. Vora then came in to personally introduce herself and discuss the plan in more details. She was genuinely interested in getting to know me as a person as opposed to just another patient. She has excellent chair side manner if I may say so. Instead of getting more work done per my previous treatment plan, she suggested a routine cleaning instead of deep cleaning based on the new assessment. And it turned out there was only one tooth that needed to be filled instead of a few. That saved me at least $500 easily!!! The hygienist did an extremely thorough job at removing the tartar buildup as well as polishing my teeth! She answered all my questions with professionalism! Dr. Vora is now my new favorite dentist that I plan on coming back for years to come! “ I was getting married and wanted to make sure my smile was amazing for my wedding. I decided to adjust my smile with invisalign. Dr. Vora and her entire staff made my Invisalign treatment a painless experience. I shopped five different doctors and ultimately, I chose Dr. Vora because I felt the most comfortable with her level of experience and the friendliness of her staff. I was lucky that he also happened to be one of the most cost-effective as well. I am very happy with my results. I get compliments on my smile all of the time. “ All around positive experiences First, I can't say enough good things about Dr. Vora and everyone I interfaced with in her at her office. After calling them I had an appointment within the week, even though it's a darned busy office. I let them know right off the bat that I hadn't been to a dentist since I was a kid. They immediately did a hundred small, considerate things to put me at ease: friendly but kept their distance, explained everything that they were going to do in both fancy-dentist-speak and English, were incredibly gentle, and kept a rolling dialogue of non-tooth-related things.They confirmed my wisdom teeth were probably causing my headaches and tight-discomfort feeling in my jaw. Then they cleaned my teeth (hardly felt a thing) and to my surprise declared my teeth in fine shape, amazing due to my lack of attention (seldom floss, brush once a day or maybe twice on a good day)! They said I had a small cavity and a small pit, but gushed at how healthy and strong my teeth and gums are. This is the best dentist I know. ”

“ I cannot stress it enough, you have to see Dr. Vora for your dental needs! I have gone through my fair amount of dental mishaps- dentists telling me I needed unnecessary work, not checking to see if my insurance covered this work or even swapping my dental records with someone else's! This was not the case with Dr. Vora. A coworker had referred me and I called after work with 20 minutes to spare before the office had closed. The front desk picked up the phone and even though she had already closed down the computer system, rebooted everything to get me an appointment. Even better, she was happy to do it! By the time my appointment rolled around I was greeted again by the staff and was asked if I wanted anything to drink and was told they would be with me in a few moments. Unlike other doctors' offices I was taken back quickly with hardly any wait time and started my cleaning by the very nice assistant (her name slips my mind but she is very sweet and always in a good mood!) I met Dr. Vora and asked me about my day and what I did for a living. It felt that she genuinely was interested in what I had to say instead of focusing on what was going on in my mouth. Dr. Vora is accommodating, gentle, and takes the time to explain your dental health, options, etc. They did a great job on my crowns and whitening. “ Like some of the other reviewers, I had a dentist-phobia and as a result hadn't actually seen one in many years. After deciding to finally use my dental benefit that I had been paying for from my employer, I did some research and came across Dr. Vora. I decided to give it a shot and made at appointment. I was dreading the first appointment for fear that I'd be told I'd need root canals, cavities filled, implants, and the whole works since I hadn't seen a dentist in so long. The initial visit went really well. Dr. Vora has a great bed-side manner. She explains everything thoroughly before she does them and makes sure the patient is completely comfortable before proceeding with anything. This sort of transparency and honesty is what I value most in a doctor, best describing Dr. Vora. I also never felt like I got sold on procedures that were not necessary (needing a cavity filled, etc.). I am definitely going back and would highly recommend her. ”

“ I've had a lot of trouble finding the best dentist in Boston, since I just moved here from California, but Dental Associates of Arlington really lived up to my expectations of a true and honest dental experience. I had two teeth that needed some serious help and needed an emergency dentist. I found this practice and I went in expecting to have two extractions done. Most places I went, both here and back home, recommended the extraction option over a root canal because the extractions are cheaper and I don't have insurance. But when I got here, they strongly, strongly encouraged me to splurge on a root canal and save my teeth. Why? Because they care. They went to great lengths to keep extraction as a last resort, and I settled for the root canal. They even helped me out financially by doing the procedure in steps, which is incredibly helpful to my budget. They are really one of the most affordable dentist in the area. By far the best dental visit I've ever had. Everybody who works here is extremely professional, efficient and friendly. To be completely honest, I can't wait to go back there. My second opinion figured this one out. I was in a rush to make the pain go away. How did I know I didn't have a cavity. The pain went away with one application of Sensodyne. Now I have a needlessly drilled and filled tooth. At no point was Sensodyne offered as a solution by your office. There such a push for ratings and followup at your office. There is not as much effort put into diagnosis. I am never coming back. I get angry every time I think about this dental practice. ”

“ I wanted to sit down and write a sob story on how awful life was because of my horrible teeth. But, I can't even write it because that is how dramatically my life has changed. Like many of you, I was apprehensive about dental cosmetic work. However, after a divorce and a single mom to a toddler and baby, I wanted to do something for myself. I am also kinda crazy and purposely did NOT select the box stating that I had anxiety so I wouldn't get turned away (sorry, Dr. Vora!!) After doing extensive research (again, I'm kinda crazy), I narrowed it down to two doctors. After meeting Dr. Vora, I didn't even make it to the other one. After specifically telling Dr. Vora that it was important for me to be able to take pictures with my children because I am all they have. If (God forbid) something were to happen to me, I want them to know how much I loved them and have these memories. She completely understood. My two front teeth got crowns and the entire process took roughly two weeks. It was the longest two weeks of my life as one gets "the easily stained-temporary crowns" put in. I hibernated for those two weeks. And you know what, I am shining! No, really! I never knew how much of an impact a smile has. People are talking to me more, networking has never been easier, it has been a total transformation. Not only that, I am taking care of my teeth even more. My kids and I have a little ceremony with our dental hygiene (I know, I know, kinda weird) Even more thoughtful was that in the end, Dr. Vora took a picture of me smiling. I was under the impression that this appointment would last about 30 minutes, however I wasn't even seen until 11:15 (40 minutes after my appointment and 10 minutes after I thought I would be able to leave). My appointment then proceeded to take about 10 minutes before there was an issue with my insurance- another delay in my appointment. By the time I left at 12:20 I had been in the office for almost 2 hours, but my actual appointment only took about 45 minutes. What's worse is that I was away from my desk at work for more than 2 hours, when I thought I would only be gone for one. Please be more aware of your patient's time as it is very rude to keep them so long. My time is as important to me as your time is to you. ”

“ I started out as a patient here 10 months ago when I was pregnant. The initial 2 visits were fine. Everyone was/is nice. I came back after my son was born to do X-rays and finish the work they couldn't do when I was pregnant. It's been a series of errors and poor service since then. 1. The X-ray technician struggled to do the X-rays... she kept having to reposition and then would forget to hit the button so it took forever. Not a big deal but with everything else... 2. I agreed to scaling and they were supposed to call me to tell me how much it would be. They didn't. 3. First round of scaling was well done. Second round was extremely painful. The numbing process made me scream in pain and then I wasn't completely numb during the scaling and could feel it. At the end of the second round she tells me she is going to put in an antibiotic. She runs around to find it. Then tells me she can't find it and no one is available to tell her where it is so she is not going to put it in. I should be fine. 4. I get charged by the insurance company for X-rays because of the type of x-rays they did. I call to find out if they actually did that type of x ray and why. I call twice, they never call me back. The X-rays may have been legit and it could be my insurance sucks but I would've liked to have talked to them about it. ”

“ I met Dr. Vora through a recommendation and she told me about veneers. The office offered 0% interest financing for full mouth veneers. Dr. Vora never made me feel uncomfortable - she gave me a thorough exam and calmed my nerves about my required dental work (particularly, a broken crown and a visit to an oral surgeon). The dental assistants are extremely kind and welcoming, and know how to properly give Novocain (another one of my fears). Dr. Vora gave me a full mouth veneers as a replacement to my old misaligned teeth. She did an excellent job - my teeth look and feel natural, and I'm much more confident and proud of my smile. “ I decided to get a new dentist when mine died and went into Dental Associates of Arlington for a cleaning. Depite the fact that I've been having my teeth cleaned every 4 months for years, I was told that my 2 rear molars on the bottom weren't salvageable and I would have to have them removed and replaced by implants. When I left, I was handed a "Treatment Case" and the price tag was $13,880. I almost had a heart attack and decided to get a 2nd opinion. I did so, and the 2nd dentist agreed that the 2 teeth had to be removed and implants were the only viable option and asked the office manager to prepare a "Treatment Plan" for me. This office charges $5,000 per tooth instead of $6,940. Also, because I don't have insurance it was reduced by 15% so it comes out to $4,331 per tooth. My sister called her dentist to find out what his rates are and he also charges $5,000 per tooth. I have no doubt that the DAA does excellent work, but as far as I'm concerned, their mark up is unconscionable and I wouldn't go back under any circumstances. ”

Before deciding on veneers Dr. Vora and I talked over all the options to get the results I wanted she patiently listened and answered my hundreds of questions. A few days before my scheduled appointment to get the temporary veneers put on I was suffering from a toothache, I called her office and they saw me within the hour free of charge to make sure everything was okay (turned out to be a sinus infection). The day of the procedure knowing I have very sensitive teeth she made sure I was completely numbed up, its a long procedure (4ish hours) but Dr. Vora and her team constantly made sure I was still okay and didn't need a break. After the procedure I got zoom whitening on the rest of my teeth so they would match nicely to the veneer. They sent me home with pain killers for my sensitive teeth and called the next day to make sure I was doing okay! I cant wait to get my permanent ones put on! ”

Dr Vara talked me in to getting a small filling redone right before my wedding but she used the wrong color and I have a yellow spot on my front tooth in all my wedding photos. Secondly, they said they could give my 15month old daughter an exam but when I brought her in the dentist didn't know what to do. Then they charged me! We had forgotten to add her to the dental insurance because it was her first time and they are insisting now they get paid for services not rendered even though the dentist himself said he wouldn't charge us at the time of the visit. Thirdly, on a 9AM visit to fix the yellow spot on my tooth, I showed up and no one was in the office. They forgot they had booked appointments. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I honestly think they should be shut down. ”

Dr. Vora was very nice,and did a good job with the bonding, but as soon as the novocaine wore off, I noticed two new chips on the back of my front teeth - chips that weren't there prior to my appointment with Dr. Vora. So, I contacted the practice, to let them know. Noone got back to me, but I continue to recieve text messages requesting that I post a review on Yelp. So, I am posting a Yelp review. The office is nice, front desk staff are friendly and helpful, and the hygenists are awesome. But, everytime I've been here something has gone wrong. My front teeth are now chipped. I chose this practice because of all the high Yelp ratings - little did I know these ratings are actively solicited by the owners of this practice. There are signs in the office, offering patients the opportunity to win a raffle if they post positive Yelp feedback, and the constant contact this practice uses actively solicits positive Yelp reviews from patients. Had I known this before my first appointment, I would have kept looking for a dentist. ”

“ rachana vora dmd: experience definitely not great on either of my two recent visits. both the opening and todays impression work took a really long time to execute with what seemed to be a lot of fumbling and surprisingly poor muscle memory skills, especially on the part of the older periodontist . I do understand that Anne Marie's notes were a source of confusion, but I would think that the correctly sized healing cap and screwed in guide could have been easily determined by fit and feel even if one had done these procedures many times before. That square pegs fit in square holes, etc., should be obvious fro the git go. That said: I think YOU are an extremely able professional who knew exactly what she was doing, obviously having learned technique by a lot of doing. I must also say that Dr. Simpson impressed me while recementing a crown on my last visit with her exposition on gold crown burnishing and related matters. She has very high patient communication skills. Her mechanical abilities certainly failed to impress today, but she is young and everybody has a bad day. Anne Marie would have opened and put in a UNIVERSAL abutment in about 20 minutes with smooth elegance. This certainly seems the more efficient procedure that taking an impression before putting in the abutment. Dr. Simpson did explain, again deploying great patient skills, that a custom abutment might be needed in this situation and that the procedure being used covered that base. Since you are doing this for a living and presumably want to make money doing it the difference in procedures is of importance to you, not to me the patient. FINALLY: as I originally explained to dr, riordan (is that the name) when Anne Marie introduced me to him I WANT A ZIRCONIA SCREW RETAINED CROWN. I do not want in any circumstance a PM crown!!! They are as stupid as root canals. I actually would prefer gold, but at my age and life expectancy zirconia, although only a better grade of crap than pm, is probably good enough. “ I went in an while the staff were nice human beings an issue with their communication with insurance caused them to withhold placing a permanent crown until I payed 1000$ out of pocket. That they were 100% willing to leave me with a temporary crown and send me packing if I didn’t pay them for their miscommunication with my insurance provider. Given that they are unable to give accurate assessments of what your dental insurance would cost I would recommend having restoristive work done elsewhere. There are thousands of good Dentists in Boston and I’ve had plenty of nice staff to work with at other offices. It doesn’t matter how pleasent someone is when they hold care over your head and are willing to leave you with a half finished procedure they are a risk. I want to reiterate that if nothing else they have very kind staff and that does count for something. ”

“ I had been thinking about veneers for years but was always hesitant to go through with it. After years of research and putting it off, I finally took the plunge! Dr. Vora made me feel so at ease and didn't pressure me like a lot of my past dentists did. She answered all of my questions honestly, and genuinely wanted me to make the best decision for me being as it was an elective procedure. She had the lab create a mock up a smile simulation, and designed my temporaries to be just like the real ones so I had plenty of time to feel them out before getting the permanents. I didn't end up making any adjustments as the temporaries looked great. I had a fear that temporaries would look noticeably fake, but they didn't at all! The permanents look and feel even better! I've had people ask me if I got my teeth whitened, but no one has really noticed that these are veneers, which is exactly what I wanted. I've also had dentists in the past try to tell me that bleach shades would look fake, but you don't exactly want to spend this much money and not have really white teeth... Dr. Vora totally understood that and made my temporaries a bleach shade so that I knew what it was like, and wouldn't wonder what it would have been like if I went whiter. I ultimately did go with the bleach shades (Om3/Om2 blend). I was very indecisive about this part, and trusted Dr. Vora's opinion. She nailed it! I've had consultations with numerous dentists about veneers in the past, but Dr. Vora was truly the only one who made me feel comfortable enough to move forward. I'm sure I was one of her more nervous patients :D, but I couldn't be happier with my new smile. It's an amazing feeling to not be self conscious about your smile, and well worth the $$$! Thank you Dr. Vora and staff!! ”

This was by far the best dentist experience I have had. The staff is so kind, knowledgeable & amazing! They did not make me feel terrible about not getting a teeth cleaning in over 5 years. I initially tried a dental office near Whole Foods and they told me I had seven cavities even though six months earlier my general dentist in Cali told me I had zero. Needless to say, I did not return to this practice. I put off finding a new dentist until this week, and found the option closest to me. The dental clinic surpassed my expectations! Registering as a new patient was incredibly easy and professional (online booking link, finally!). At no point did I feel like another file they file away for insurance purposes, but they consistently made me feel like a human that should be cared for and they even explained everything to me as if I wasn't too dumb to understand "dental speak." They even have a TV on the wall so you can watch whatever you want while getting your teeth cleaned! They were also very thorough explaining to me cost options of x-rays and other treatment. I had an exam by the dentist (she was very nice!!) and my next course of treatment option was explained to me. They can handle an extraction, gum surgery, dental implants, and a bridge all in house. After my exam, I was given a consult for the my dental surgery and bone graft for the very next day! I have significant anxiety about the dentist and they handled that really well. It turns out that I have Sleep Apnea and who knew that a dentist can help with that. I had trouble sleeping and they had an appliance like a retainer that corrects sleeping issues. I am so happy to have found them and I can't recommend them enough. ”

At my initial xrays i was told I had a "couple" cavities. Which in my mind I'm thinking 2. So after my extraction i was given the next step to my dental plan, and 6 cavities were listed. 1 being ultra expensive saying i would need a crown. First of all 6 is not a couple . So i decided i get a 2nd opinion, considering i was no longer in the state of an emergency. I had time. Me being scared, it took me maybe a couple months to make an appointment at another dentist. Anyways since I stopped going to this location, I get emails, reminders, ok. They emailed me my entire treatment. Now I was told I needed a full mouth deep clean, that I had 2 pockets, and a total of 14 cavities. So it's NOT a couple or 6 I just went to my new HONEST dentist. I don't have any pockets, I don't need a deep clean and I ONLY HAVE 5 CAVITIES, 0 crowns needed for my cavities. I'll be saving $10,000 by NOT GOING TO THIS DENTAL ASSOCIATION. Seems to me I was taken for my vulnerability in fear of dentist. Be careful here. They tried to scam me on my treatment. $10,000 for LIES. I'll be paying $1,876, for my 5 cavities at a HONEST DENTAL LOCATION. I SHOULD give 0 stars. “ I’ve had two appointments at Dental Associates of Arlington. The first was just a cleaning six months ago and then today a cleaning and filling. The staff is very nice and the dentists very professional. I had no pain or discomfort during my drilling and filling. They numb the gums before injection of Novocain. They clean with a water pick that gets under the gum line for a super clean result. It can hurt on some gums but mostly painless. TVs are in every treatment room. Coffee and tea in the waiting area. I pay for parking but there are also on street spots close by. ”

“ I had a lower molar filling replaced by another dentist some months ago and it was a horribly painful experience. The tooth was never right and on Christmas night, that tooth broke. After failed attempts to reach the dentist who did the work due to his 2-week office closure, I opted to call this practice. They got me in as soon as feasibly possible in light of the holidays and am so happy I called! It was determined I needed a root canal. I’ve heard horrible stories about the procedure from others and was absolutely dreading it. Specialist Dr. Fooks performed the root canal and she is amazing. As unpleasant as a root canal can be on an extremely sensitive tooth, she made it nearly painless. After 2 days, the tooth feels great — as though no work was done. She has a very nice “chair-“ side manner and the staff is super friendly. Am very pleased with this practice! ”

“ I don't mean to be picky, but I would prefer if the dentist and assistant would not chit-chat about their personal lives while they are working on drilling and filling my teeth. It may put some patients at ease to hear that, but it makes me feel as if they are distracted and not paying full attention to what they are doing. I know they are very skilled at what they are doing because they do it routinely every day, but from a patient's perspective, it's a rare and highly technical and possibly stressful experience, and it seems as if they are not fully engaged in what they are doing when they are talking as if they are out for coffee with someone. BUT we were shocked to get another bill after couple of months for $300+. She was also promised a no-cost X-Ray as the one she was carrying from old dentist, done same year was not clear to them. After reminding them of promise they took off X-Ray cost and another $60 which they consider as adjustment of more than 50% for second bill. I finally settled by paying 33% on top of their estimate. Tooth fillings are not a complex procedure for which estimates can vary this much. I think they under-estimate and their billing department really need work. Beware! ”

“ I'm not typically a fan of the dentist, it's been years since I've gone and as a result of that I ended up getting a nasty chip in a tooth. After doing a little research and reading other people's reviews I gave Dental Associates of Arlington a call. They quickly scheduled an appointment for me to come in and have the dentist look at the chip and discuss treatment. I walked into the waiting room and the receptionist was extremely pleasant, double checked all my paperwork and took care of the COVID screening process. Wasn't waiting long before of the hygenists came to have me take x-rays. Tooth was indeed chipped and likely needed a root canal. I've heard plenty of stories about how unpleasant root canals can be so I was instantly anxious. In came Dr Simpson and her assistant Melissa to review my treatment and answer any questions I had. They answered every question I had and definitely put my mind at ease. Luckily they were available right then and there to start the multi appointment root canal and get me back to normal. Sat down in the dentists chair and started feeling a bit lightheaded (nervous plus hadn't eaten anything all morning). Dr Simpson and Melissa took great care of me and helped me cool down and get my blood pressure back to normal. After that everything was smooth sailing, we were even cracking a few jokes back and forth while they worked on my tooth. Hands down the best experience I've had at the Dentist and would absolutely recommend to anyone. ”

They kept saying she was going to show up but she never did. Everybody I met was great though and I have no complaints about them. Secondly, I was never given a prescription with the name of the mouthwash I’m supposed to use for my gums. Moreover, no one really told me why I couldn’t get a general teeth checkup or an X-ray done today. Feels like a wasted three hours. ”

People were using shared computers with the same gloves that they were putting in peoples mouths. “ Guys... I put off going to the dentist for 4 years. FOUR YEARS. The amount of dread that had built up over that time and the amount of mental space it took up in my mind thinking about how I needed to find a dentist and schedule an appointment and what if I needed fillings and oh god what if it was even worse and I needed a root canal etc. etc. was crushing me. I recently moved and looked online and found their site and reviews and the ability to make an appointment online was a huge plus (somehow the dread of the phone made the whole idea of getting this overwith that much more insurmountable). But let me tell you. They were so nice. So friendly. So funny. I don't know that I could ever describe a dentist's office as a place I'd *want* to go haha... but if I could, this would be the one. Everyone there is so kind and accommodating and patient, doing everything possible to disarm nervous nellies like me. I ended up needing 3 fillings and was a nervous wreck about them. Getting a filling is never going to be 'pleasant', but they made it as comfortable as it could be (and did an amazing job. Dr. Vora is incredible!). They took care to ask what I was nervous about and accommodated my fears (I don't fear needles at all but I hate the sensation of the numbing stuff in my throat so they didn't use topical gel and were careful to not have any novocaine drip down after injecting). As long as I live near here and even if I don't haha, I would make the effort to come here for my future dental work, which will hopefully be just cleanings from here on out!! Congrats if you made it through to the end of this long review. But if you were on the fence, hopefully you aren't now. Go see Dr. Vora and her staff. You won't be disappointed!! ”

Everyone I have dealt with have been very pleasant and very competent. In addition to a couple of cleanings, I had a tooth extraction followed by a dental implant, a multistep procedure that took about 8 months, and everything went perfectly. “ Hi, I just want to mention that my experience with tooth filling is really excellent (10/10). However, I felt it would be much better if there is a clearer communication of what is expected to be done. When I was scheduled for my appointment for 90 min, I was told that I would have my tooth refilled plus a comprehensive oral evaluation. However, after my tooth filling was completed, it was not entirely clear why the oral evaluation was not done. I really only remembered that I should have evaluation completed when I got back to my car and surprised that the appointment didn't end for another 30 min. If it's because there is not enough time to conduct a complete oral examination then perhaps it should not have been scheduled in in the first place (I received an estimate bill from my dental insurance, so I was under the impression that evaluation would be done). Like what I said, I am extremely pleased with the dental work that was done, it would make the entire process a lot more satisfactory if there is a clearer agenda of what will be done for the appointment. Previously I wasted a trip for an appointment that you software had confirmed the day before. My time is worth $800.00 and hour!!! Dr. Annie's is worth a couple of hundred. $500. wasted While she is one of the few competent medical, or quasi medical, I guess, people I have ever met, there are limits to my patience. Your office's fees are high. I don't mind paying for Dr, Annie and today in fact was thinking of offering her her own office just so I would not have to deal further with your practice.. The root canal prognosis for my wife from you dentist (whose name I cannot remember, was expressly controverted by the endodontist, Dr, Annie wanted to take a look at my wife's tooth/teeth and suggested back to back appointments (which have not apparently happened.) I acceded to this although there is a very small chance that I would ever concur in a root canal, a procedure that I think is almost always contraindicated and just a source of continuing low grade infections, see my separate email ADDRESSED TO DR. ANNIE. ”

Jessica, who works at the front desk is an absolute gem. Lily and Emily were incredibly supportive as well. I have a fair degree of anxiety about getting dental work done stemming from past experiences at other places and this is the first time that I've actually found going to the dentist a supportive, kind and I daresay enjoyable experience. Right from my first consultation, Dr. Simpson's gentle, caring manner put me so much at ease. I had quite extensive work to get done starting with Wisdom teeth surgery (at an oral surgeon's office ) for which they referred me to a wonderful oral surgeon, to getting a crown on one of my molars here, with Dr. Simpson. Dr. Simpson has a beautiful, deft touch - hands of an angel. They offer conscious sedation, which is done so carefully, skillfully all the time in communication with the patient. It was my first time getting conscious sedation and it was a much more pleasant and easy experience than I'd imagined. Melissa the Dental assistant was a rockstar throughout my almost 2 hour long main procedure. I didn't feel a smidge of pain. It was truly a great, fun vibe throughout. Wait times are zero.
